New marketing and customer relations manager at bristol storage As promised we are telling you a bit more about our Staff here at Bristol storage. This Month we would like to introduce Molly, Our Marketing and Customer Relations Manager. Molly started with the company just after Christmas, she comes from an automotive background so racking is a new thing for her!

Molly will be looking after the marketing here at Bristol Storage and already has a busy plan for the year, she will also be in charge of our customer service, making follow up calls and gathering customer feedback. We wanted to get to know a little more about Molly so we asked her a few questions……

1. What is your Role at Bristol Storage Equipment?

Marketing and customer relations manager, I like to think I’m creative and kind. I also love to chat, as you can see from my answers….

2. What is your favourite shelving system and why?

Dexion P90, it’s the only one I know… Shhhhh (I’ve not been here long guys)

3. If you could have unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be?

Soooo Many things, I would like to say horses but I feel an unlimited amount would be a lot of hard work. I’ll have to go with clothes, handbags, and shoes, the 3 wardrobes I have already is definitely not enough!

4. What would be the title of your autobiography?

In my own world (that’s where I am most of the time), I think most of my friends and family would like to know what goes on there!!

5. If you could be in the movie of your choice, what movie would you choose and what character would you play?

Anne Hathaway in The Devil Where’s Prada, she always looks so chic and she get the job 1,000,000 girls would die for… Who wouldn’t want to work at Runway (It’s a fashion magazine for those who haven’t watched)

6. What is top of the list when it comes to the weekend?

Seeing my family definitely, and eating yummy food, that’s my favourite hobby.

7. If you could host a talk show, who would be your first guest?

The Queen, I’d love to know what she’s really like.

8. What would be your ultimate holiday destination?

A Safari, I’ve always wanted to stay at Giraffe Manor in Kenya.

9. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

It would have to be 3 courses, for starters: baked camembert with fresh bread to dip in Main: Rack of Lamb, with dauphinoise potatoes, and green beans and for Desert: The White chocolate and limoncello profiteroles they do in this Italian restaurant in bath…. I like food if you hadn’t guessed guys.

10. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

Book first class flights to Giraffe Manor for all my family, I’d also like to stop off in New York for a shopping spree.

SEMA Distributor Accreditation It’s been a busy few weeks for the team at Bristol Storage, with our most recent SEMA Audit taking place earlier in the month. It’s not easy to get SEMA accreditation or retain it, and we were put through a rigorous investigation of our whole process to ensure every aspect of our operation was up to standard.

We are over the moon to report we scored 94%, giving us highly commended status and putting us in the top bracket of SEMA distributors in the UK.

About The Sema Distributor Company (SDC) Qualification 

The SDC qualification indicates that a company has shown a high level of commitment to safety standards, works within industry codes of practice and has been regulated with a regular, random audit. There are currently 31 recognised SEMA Distributor Companies operating in the UK, find out more about the initiative and the standards accredited members must adhere to in the video below:

What’s Involved In The SEMA Audit?

Companies will need to have been operating for at least 2 years and hold a distributorship from a recognised manufacturer of storage equipment before being able to apply for their first audit.

After being accredited, companies wishing to retain their qualification will be subject to a regular, random inspection – this inspection consists of an independent on-site assessment undertaken by QCS International. The assessment is split into two core areas:

Administration and Document Control – This side of the audit ensures that any policies, record-keeping and legal compliance documents are all up to standard.

Process Control – In this section of the audit, the auditors will look at aspects of the company’s process including project management control procedures, the way work instructions are issued, the quality of RAMs, the capture and verification of the customers’ specific requirements and the technical design that underwrites storage installation.

Following the inspection, the audits are scored and awarded as follows:

  • 90% - 100% - Companies falling in this bracket will achieve highly commended status as we did.
  • 60% - 90% - Companies that achieve a score of 60% in the audit will meet the required standard to continue operating as a SEMA distributor company. 
  • 50% - 59% - Companies that score between 50 and 59 percent will need to formulate an improvement plan for reassessment – they will need to score 60% to be accepted again.
  • Less than 50% - Companies that score under 50% will be declined membership and will need to re-apply for evaluation once issues are addressed.

Being a SEMA approved distributor company allows our customers to work with us in the knowledge that we are adhering to the high standards set out by the organisation, and that our products and services have been professionally and independently audit to ensure they are also up to standard.

New Team Members Join Bristol Storage

New team members, Megan and Louise, at the Bristol Storage officeActivity at Bristol Storage is fairly full on. In fact, the business is continuing to grow from strength to strength.

As a result it was therefore time for us to welcome two new members to our already existing team.

We would therefore like to introduce you to our two new recruits at Bristol Storage Equipment; so say 'Hello' to Louise and Megan. They have both been with us for just over a month now, so some of you may have already dealth with the girls. Both have settled in fantastically and we are assured that they are eagerly awaiting your next enquiry.

Meet Louise

Louise Boyce has joined us as a Contracts Manager where she is working closely with our customers and managing all the details of our jobs in order to ensure that we deliver an excellent service.

Louise has worked in Supply Chain and Customer Service roles for a number of companies in the manufacturing and construction sectors including Kerry Ingredients, Continental Tyres and David Wilson Homes.

Outside of work Louise likes to spend time indulging in her love of textile design, family, friends, and the occasional glass of wine.

Say Hi to Megan

 

Megan has been with the team here at Bristol Storage Equipment since February having moved to Bristol from Nottingham. As Sales Administrator, Megan Parker, has plenty of experience behind here having worked in order processing and customer care in previous job roles.

In her spare time Megan enjoys baking. In fact, we’ve had to ask her to restrict the amount of cake she brings into the office; our waistlines are suffering already! When she’s not creating great recipes you’ll find her either shopping or searching for another travelling adventure.
