As promised we are telling you a bit more about our Staff here at Bristol storage. This Month we would like to introduce Molly, Our Marketing and Customer Relations Manager. Molly started with the company just after Christmas, she comes from an automotive background so racking is a new thing for her!
Molly will be looking after the marketing here at Bristol Storage and already has a busy plan for the year, she will also be in charge of our customer service, making follow up calls and gathering customer feedback. We wanted to get to know a little more about Molly so we asked her a few questions……
Marketing and customer relations manager, I like to think I’m creative and kind. I also love to chat, as you can see from my answers….
Dexion P90, it’s the only one I know… Shhhhh (I’ve not been here long guys)
Soooo Many things, I would like to say horses but I feel an unlimited amount would be a lot of hard work. I’ll have to go with clothes, handbags, and shoes, the 3 wardrobes I have already is definitely not enough!
In my own world (that’s where I am most of the time), I think most of my friends and family would like to know what goes on there!!
Anne Hathaway in The Devil Where’s Prada, she always looks so chic and she get the job 1,000,000 girls would die for… Who wouldn’t want to work at Runway (It’s a fashion magazine for those who haven’t watched)
Seeing my family definitely, and eating yummy food, that’s my favourite hobby.
The Queen, I’d love to know what she’s really like.
A Safari, I’ve always wanted to stay at Giraffe Manor in Kenya.
It would have to be 3 courses, for starters: baked camembert with fresh bread to dip in Main: Rack of Lamb, with dauphinoise potatoes, and green beans and for Desert: The White chocolate and limoncello profiteroles they do in this Italian restaurant in bath…. I like food if you hadn’t guessed guys.
Book first class flights to Giraffe Manor for all my family, I’d also like to stop off in New York for a shopping spree.
Bristol Storage has been operational for over 40 years now. Throughout that time we’ve taken on almost every job imaginable, from annual SEMA approved racking inspections for warehouses, right the way through to installing racking systems for retail giants Amazon.

We work to ‘maximise space to maximise profit’ in our clients’ locations, be that an industrial production line or a small distribution and fulfilment centre. It’s our experience and knowledge that allows us to put forward the best solution based on our customer’s needs, timeframes and budgets.
What’s more, we love sharing that knowledge with customers and are constantly updating our blog with useful information for our readers, along with various case studies showcasing the different kinds of work we do for clients.
It’s also our experience and knowledge, along with our vast range of products and ability to think outside the box that allows us to meet our customer’s objectives every time. Our key products include:
Pallet racking - We are one of UK’s leading pallet racking suppliers, providing all types of pallet including: adjustable pallet racking, mobile racking, drive in pallet racking, live storage racking and narrow aisle pallet racking.
Additionally, we are proud to be a member of the Dexion distributor network – allowing us to supply and maintain Dexion racking as well as provide expert advice and technical support.
Mezzanine Flooring – We have a range of mezzanine flooring available to be built to your custom requirements to maximise your existing warehouse, office or industrial space.
Shelving – We have shelving solutions suitable for any application in domestic, commercial and industrial warehouse environments to help keep stock organised.
LED Lighting – Traditional high bay warehouse lighting is inefficient and prone to failure. Our LED lighting solutions will help save you money and go green in the warehouse, with occupancy detection and zonal controls available.
“After listening to our initial requirements, Bristol Storage Equipment recommended a vertical racking system fitted with adjustable beams to support the timber.”
“The job was done professionally and efficiently – BSE kept us informed on what they were doing throughout the installation and we were very impressed with how well it was managed from speedy initial quotation to final installation.”

It’s been a busy few weeks for the team at Bristol Storage, with our most recent SEMA Audit taking place earlier in the month. It’s not easy to get SEMA accreditation or retain it, and we were put through a rigorous investigation of our whole process to ensure every aspect of our operation was up to standard.
We are over the moon to report we scored 94%, giving us highly commended status and putting us in the top bracket of SEMA distributors in the UK.
Find out more about the SEMA accreditation, the rigorous audit we are put through to retain our status and what it means for our customers.
The SDC qualification indicates that a company has shown a high level of commitment to safety standards, works within industry codes of practice and has been regulated with a regular, random audit. There are currently 31 recognised SEMA Distributor Companies operating in the UK, find out more about the initiative and the standards accredited members must adhere to in the video below:
Companies will need to have been operating for at least 2 years and hold a distributorship from a recognised manufacturer of storage equipment before being able to apply for their first audit.
After being accredited, companies wishing to retain their qualification will be subject to a regular, random inspection – this inspection consists of an independent on-site assessment undertaken by QCS International. The assessment is split into two core areas:
Administration and Document Control – This side of the audit ensures that any policies, record-keeping and legal compliance documents are all up to standard.
Process Control – In this section of the audit, the auditors will look at aspects of the company’s process including project management control procedures, the way work instructions are issued, the quality of RAMs, the capture and verification of the customers’ specific requirements and the technical design that underwrites storage installation.
Following the inspection, the audits are scored and awarded as follows:
Being a SEMA approved distributor company allows our customers to work with us in the knowledge that we are adhering to the high standards set out by the organisation, and that our products and services have been professionally and independently audit to ensure they are also up to standard.
“Retaining our SEMA accreditation gives our clients peace of mind when we are undertaking work for them. Whilst we have always operated to the highest standards possible, retaining this accreditation is our ‘seal of approval’ for all past, present and future clients.”
Dennis Ives – Managing Director
We are delighted with our score from our most recent SEMA audit and hope to perform even better when our next random audit is undertaken.
As part of our commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers, in addition to being SEMA accredited distributor, we are safecontractor approved, CHAS accredited and carry certification to undertake SEMA approved racking inspections across the UK.
If you require any more information about our recent SEMA audit, SEMA racking inspections or any of the other services or products we offer, just give us a call 0117 955 5211 or fill out a contact form and we will get back to you.
Activity at Bristol Storage is fairly full on. In fact, the business is continuing to grow from strength to strength.
As a result it was therefore time for us to welcome two new members to our already existing team.
We would therefore like to introduce you to our two new recruits at Bristol Storage Equipment; so say 'Hello' to Louise and Megan. They have both been with us for just over a month now, so some of you may have already dealth with the girls. Both have settled in fantastically and we are assured that they are eagerly awaiting your next enquiry.
Louise Boyce has joined us as a Contracts Manager where she is working closely with our customers and managing all the details of our jobs in order to ensure that we deliver an excellent service.
Louise has worked in Supply Chain and Customer Service roles for a number of companies in the manufacturing and construction sectors including Kerry Ingredients, Continental Tyres and David Wilson Homes.
Outside of work Louise likes to spend time indulging in her love of textile design, family, friends, and the occasional glass of wine.
Megan has been with the team here at Bristol Storage Equipment since February having moved to Bristol from Nottingham. As Sales Administrator, Megan Parker, has plenty of experience behind here having worked in order processing and customer care in previous job roles.
In her spare time Megan enjoys baking. In fact, we’ve had to ask her to restrict the amount of cake she brings into the office; our waistlines are suffering already! When she’s not creating great recipes you’ll find her either shopping or searching for another travelling adventure.
As we continue to grow, who knows, we may be introducing you to more new team members throughout the year. But for now we are very happy to welcome both Megan and Louise on board.
