Bristol Storage Equipment

The Bristol Storage Group comprises the following companies: Bristol Storage Equipment Limited (also trading as Dexion South West) and Westcountry Storage Equipment Limited.

Bristol Storage Equipment Limited (formerly Frenchay Construction) was formed over 36 years ago. The main function of the company was to provide Dexion Limited (the market leading manufacturer of racking & shelving systems) with a source of sub-contract labour for the installation of major rack and shelving projects.

Good working relationships were formed over the years and Dexion Limited welcomed the expertise gained by Bristol Storage Equipment into the network of distributors, enabling us to expand our range of goods and services throughout the South West of England.

The primary function of Bristol Storage Equipment now is to provide top quality storage and materials handling products and service levels to local businesses throughout Bristol and the South West.

The company has expanded considerably since 2001 when it was purchased by Robert and Ann Handley, and subsequently in 2006 by Dennis and Janet Ives.

Westcountry Storage Equipment Limited was acquired in 2003 as part of our expansion plans into Devon and Cornwall. This company has been serving the business community of Devon and Cornwall for some 20 years.

We have within the company many years experience within the storage and materials handling industry.

The GS mark

The GS mark (Geprüfte Sicherheit = Safety Tested) is a licensed mark of the German government which, over the last 20 years, has become recognised and respected throughout the world as a symbol of safety for technical equipment.

The GS mark is a voluntary, impartial certification mark that may only be issued by an accredited product safety testing and certification agency. It indicates to the consumer that a product meets the safety requirements of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act. If a manufacturer meets these requirements, a GS test certificate is issued.
